This beautiful completely newly built dune house has become a modern home with character elements.
The client wanted to modernize his house by extending the existing house into the garden. The desire was to create a large sitting/living space while retaining the existing kitchen. They also wanted to create a separate chill/television area for the kids.
The upstairs apartment was also reorganized. The parents “moved” into the attic where a bathroom was built and the children each got a new room where they could choose their own color and material. For this, they provided photos and mood boards.
The request was to think about the use of color, materials, suggest furniture and create a lighting plan.
Based on a 2D layout sketch, the appropriate layout and furniture were selected.
INSPIRATION
The starting point was the beautiful black steel sliding doors to the garden. To show off the black of the steel, black designer lighting was chosen throughout the house.
The beautiful cast floor in the color sludge became the starting point for the rest of the color palette in the living room. Natural materials and a calm color palette were used, which can be changed at any time with accents in pillows and accessories.
